Nancy Wilson, a jazz musician and three-time Grammy Award winner was born in Ohio, Chillicothe 20 February 1937, to Olden Wilson an ironworker who was employed for a lengthy period as a housekeeper. Nancy Wilson was the only born child at the age of 6. The passion for music that her father had and the records he played at home had a major influence on Nancy at the age of a girl. When she was just four year old, she realized that she was going to be a star in the singing world. She developed her talent due to her participation in the choir at church. This brought her a gig at New York's Coconut Grove the premier night club in America that year, and she was a household name.
